Join the Historical Society of Quincy and Adams County for a day of history, learning, and community as we celebrate the founding of Adams County, Illinois, with a special focus on the life and legacy of John Quincy Adams.

Enjoy engaging presentations from noted historians and authors, including Jeffrey Denman, Steve Belko, Brian Fox Ellis, C. James Taylor, and Mark Cheathem. Topics will explore Adams County’s beginnings, the Adams political legacy, Louisa Adams, and the complex relationship between John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson.
